Dear Sir:

Almost every two weeks this code P0442 recurringly showed up. Even new gas cap was installed.
What may be the problem on this recurring code.

An evaporative code leak can be a fuel cap. However, since the evaporative system is much larger than just a fuel cap, the system need to be smoked.

The system is meant to hold fuel vapors.
This codes shows a leak. Smoke is injected into the system and the leak will be exposed to determine the course of repair.
