The 4wd will not engage. It has the lever on the floor, you can shift to 4 high, neutral, and 4 low and indicator lights work for each. When you put it in 4 low, you can feel the rear end change but the front driveshaft does not engage and only the rear wheels are turning. Thinking maybe it is a switch on the top of the transfer case? If that is correct, how do you get to it?

Make sure the linkage is actually going into 4 wheel drive. Make sure it has a driveshaft to the front differential, and if it has external front locking hubs, make sure they are locked. If it does not have external hubs, you could have a broken gear inside the hub. Good luck.
