Electrical problem
2004 GMC Envoy 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My tach is not reading correct. It is currently reading 7000 at startup and will not go lower. Some days it will read low and stay low. It is as if it looses its calibration and where evere it is when you turn off the car is now the zero point.

No, there are no other problems at this time. The truck was shuting down randomly at stop lights. This happened three times. Once I turn off the ignition and waited 30 seconds it started right back up. The tach is still not working thou.

The only thing I can think of is the tach itself.
