Getting those out can be kind of a pain especially if you're flat backing the transmission. Heres what you can do to get it out.
First get a jack and lift the transmission up by the front of the trans oil pan but make sure you use a peice of a 2x4 between the jack and the trans pan so you don't damage the pan. (Lift trans about an inch higher then where it would normally sit with the mount and the cross member bolted in. Where you have enough room that you could even slide the cross member under the trans pan) Then with the weight of the trans suported take the drivers side of the cross member and slide it forward. Then take the passenger side of crossmember and slide it toward the back of the truck. So if you're looking from the ground up to the cross member you are turning the whole cross member counter clockwise. So just keep sliding it out that way untill the crossmember comes out. This can be frustrating so try and stay cool and let me know if you have anymore questions.
