I have a 2002 gmc yukon 1500 4 wheel drive. The auto-shift on the fly shows it to be in 4 hi which it is but when I switch to 2 hi it only blinks and goes back into 4 hi. I have gotten underneath the truck and can hear the acuator sounding but not it doesn't sound good. The front gear on ther front differential is making noise not sure which one is the actuator that i have seen you guys talk about on other peoples forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some of the electronic transfer cases have an electric motor on the t-case for the auto 4wd. There were some problems with that as well as the front diff actuator (what you are seeing in the other forum). It is located on the front diff near the p/s axle tube
