I had a steering leak repaired a couple of years ago, a few months later I started having a vibration when I applied the brakes when going over 40 miles per hour. I had the brakes repaired, with-in a month the vibration was back. When a new brake pad is put on it stops for about a month. A thicker pad was put on and it lasted about three months and was back again. I can't afford to spend alot of money trying to figure this out. Can please give me some advice?

Hi anita. You said your brake pads wear out quickly are they both as in both sides wearing or just one side. When you had the brakes did they put new rotors on? Billymac

Hi anita. Well if you replaced the pads and rotors. Sounds like you may have a couple things going on . Brake calipers are most likely sticking. This causes premature brake wear. But the vibration is a big concern have the ball joints checked and tie rods. These are very important. And if bad your safety is at risk. Check all wheel lug nuts make sure they are all tight. If all of these items are good then you may have a drive axle going out. I am sorry but without being there and seeing these parts this is all I can tell you. But please feel free to ask as many questions as you want. Billymac
