The gear will refuse to change whenever the engine is hot and is in a slow place to take off from gear one and two. It will not change until I park for like a minute before the car will answer again. Please help with any information about this issue. Thanks I am in Abuja.

From your description, it sounds like the vehicle is going into what is called limp mode. Basically, the computer recognizes a problem and allows the vehicle to move to a safe place. If the check engine light is on, I would recommend you have the computer scanned to determine what trouble codes are stored. That should get you pointed in the right direction.

One more thing. I have changed two gear box last year and this year when I was told that is gear box. And I have scan the car for three times since I noticed the problem I will look for the result of the first scan. In fact the recent scan I was told that the fuel pump sensor was removed. What I am think now is to change the car brain box or gear brain box that was advice given to me by one of the mechanic I have around.

The ECU could be causing the problem but I think to scan the computer first to see what kind codes it has would be the first order of business. Here is a guide to help
