Does this do it all the time? How does the vehicle run? Any issues that you have noticed?
More than likely this is just the pump that is possibly aerating the fuel. That means it is getting air from somewhere and putting it in the tank. Most reports of this are caused by failed seals in the pump but if the vehicle is still running properly, I would not be overly concerned right now.
When it is convenient, I would get it looked at just to confirm what I am saying. However, more than likely they will need to replace the pump because if it is truly coming from the tank then the only thing inside the tank is the pump assembly.
