Last week car shop put on new rotors and brakes, 2 weeks later we took car to shop because we heard a squeaking noise from the brakes. They said it was the wheel bearing assembly and charged me to change them. Came home and still makes same noise so do I need brakes?

This noise is caused by two pieces of metal rubbing together.

More then likely this is due to the pads and rotors that are installed and they are just making noise.

This happens when you install semi metallic pads as they have metal in them and then they squeak on the rotors. Some or worse then others but most will warranty the replacement as this is not normal.

The other possible cause is the anti rattle clips were not lubricated properly.

If you look at the attachments, this is number 4 on the first diagram.

The last possible cause is the pads and rotors were not burnished properly. I attached that process below as well.

Let's run through this material and go from there. Thanks
