Originally suffered head gasket failure but was reluctant to start without a spray or two of etha, once running it be fine until turned off and tried to restart regardless of how long it was off for then noticed that the fuel pump was giving a very irregular whir (20 year old pump tho) so changed pump but in doing so the moulded yellow plug that sits on top of pump housing which directs the wires into tank for fuel sender and pump just fell apart so now I have no idea which wire goes where, I do have Autodata 3.45 but wire colours don't seem to match exactly for some reason. There is a plug from loom which has 4 wires in it being Green/Yellow, Green/Yellow, Green/Yellow and Blue which plugs into a sort of patch lead with thicker wires that go to the just mentioned moulded yellow plug. Also can you tell me if this pump only comes live on demand i.E when cranking as there is no prime whine with ignition turned on. Hoping you can help as it is a friends car who relies on it for his work to carry his plumbing gear around and at 63 years of age I do not think he wishes to carry it all. Many thanks
