My truck has a gas leak and the mechanics are telling me it’s because of rust? This is my business truck for my pool company. The mechanic was very rude to me and acted like he didn’t want to service my truck from the beginning. Could you tell me if this is possible? I thought the connectors were plastic? Could you help me?

Good afternoon,

There is a lot more than connectors for the fuel system. The lines are steel and plastic.

If they are leaking from rust, they need to be replaced. You will need to get the lines and then either have someone change them for you or change them yourself.

A lot of times the lines run over the fuel tank requiring dropping the tank. It will not be an easy job at all. It will be labor intensive.

Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on? That would be great. You can upload it here with your response.
