Engine stalls when revved, could it be the Fuel pump/filter?

Won't go, stalls when I rev up the car, only goes ten MPH.

Hi,

Is the check engine light staying on while the engine is running? If it is, have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes by scanning the computer? If not, that is where I would start.

Next, as far as the fuel pump and filter are concerned, two fuel filters are used. One is located at the bottom of the fuel pump module. The other is located inside the module. Both, as well as the fuel pump, are in the fuel tank.

Before we remove the fuel tank, what I suggest is to test the fuel pressure to confirm that this is the issue.

Here is a link that explains in general how to check fuel pressure. You will need a fuel pressure gauge, but most parts stores will lend one to you free of charge.

If you look at pic 1 below, it provides the manufacturer's fuel pressure specifications.

If you find this is the issue, the remaining pics explain how to remove the fuel tank and replace the pump.
