Fuel gauge stuck on full?

I recently had my fuel tank replaced and after I filled up with fuel the gauge stayed at full. I have been advised it needs the fuel tank removed again to sort out the problem, also that it's probable the fault was caused by the faulty installation of the tank. Can you advise?

Yes, this sounds like it could be the problem, if the fuel pump module is not installed correctly the float can be stuck at the top of its range leaving the fuel gauge on full. Here is how the full pump should be installed so you can see what needs to be done in the diagrams below. Fortunately, you don't need to remove the fuel tank again. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
