Hello,

Generally speaking, fuel consumption can be impacted due to worn or dirty components like worn spark plugs, dirty air filter and other intake components like the mass air flow sensor, improper air fuel ration due to faulty oxygen sensor or other issues.

First of all, do you have the check engine light illuminated on the dash? It can indicate emission or other drivability issues which can adversely impact the fuel mileage.

Many times, doing a simple tune up and improve the performance and restore the fuel consumption.
A typical tune up consists of replacing the air filter, changing spark plugs, cleaning out components on the intake.

Here is a helpful guide:

Please let me know if there are any issues with drivability that you are facing or any other questions.

Thank you.
