Had noises going over bumps and whatnot with the wore front suspension. On both sides I replaced struts, sway bar links, inner and outer tie rods, control arm with ball joint. Although it feels much tighter, now from time to time I have a knocking sound when creeping up to a stoplight also sometimes when letting off brake to go and a knocking sound from up seems like the driver side in the front when turning. Just a single knock and it doesn't do it all the time. I crawl back under the car to make sure everything was torque down to specs.

Hi,

Is this something that is only noticed when the brakes are used? I noticed you mentioned when approaching a stop.

If that is the case, make sure the brake caliper is tight as well as the caliper mount. Additionally, check to see if the brake pad hardware is in place.

Take a look at the pic below. I circled areas that can cause noise. Make sure things are tight and properly placed.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe

Like I said it doesn't make noise all the time but different scenarios. Sometimes when coming to a complete stop and taking off, sometimes when backing out of a driveway where there's a small dip or just turning slowly where it shifts the car suspension.

That is a tough one for me to answer then, not being there to hear it and being intermittent is going to be tough. I would focus on bushings.

I wish I could be of more help. If you are able to record it and upload it for me to hear, it may help me. I do realize that will be hard because of how you are experiencing it. However, if it gets worse and you can, please do so.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Take care,

Joe
