I just replaced my booster and my master on my vehicle and now the front brakes are locking up. What do you think the problem is? I did replace the front calipers a year ago. I recently ordered my booster and master from Rock Auto and found that the threads don't match my old booster. Does that matter?

We have a couple of variables that we need to eliminate so that we can narrow down the issue.

First if this happened immediately after replacing the master then I suspect you have an issue with the part. However, when you say the threads don't match, how did you attach the lines if they were different? Did you move parts over from the old parts and what exactly did not match?

Here are some guides that will help with this but let's start with the info above and I am sure we can figure this out:

It is highly unlikely that if this happened immediately after the master was replaced that the calipers failed the same time.

Also, is it both front wheels? If so, it is near impossible for both calipers to fail the same way at the same time. This is normally always a master cylinder issue with more than one caliper is locking up.
