I own a 95 ford tarus 132,000 miles and when I put the car into drive my steering wheel as well as the whole car starts to shake sometimes it will stop for a few min. Then start up again do you have any ideas what is wrong? I've heard it could be the motor mounts, ball joints, tire ballance, allignment, but nobody seems to be able to help me.

Those suggestions are all good. The most likely would be the alignment. Another thing that may cause the shaking is the brakes being locked on the rotors. This could be the answer let me know if it helps.

Are you moving when the shaking is happening or at idle and not moving?

If while moving what speeds?

Are you braking at this point?

For what it's worth, IMHO, the alignment would have to pretty bad coupled with another problem to get a shake when moving.

Yes it starts to shake at about 15 mph and dosn't stop no matter how fast I go, when the car is in park it's fine same at a stop light, it's more of a side to side shake and the whole car shakes but when i'm turning a corner it's fine?

Sounds like you have a tire that is seperating. In other words the tread is falling apart. I would have them looked at asap. It will eventually blow out
