1994 Ford Truck removing power steering pump

1994 Ford Truck 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

how do I remove the power steering pump - it is captive in the bracket and it appears that I must remove the pully however the pulley remover won't fit between the pully and the radiator cowling
