I have a '97 T-Bird, 87K, 4.6L. I had it repainted recently and now the R/F turn signal is acting up. Initally, I assumed the bulb was bad. I replaced it and it was still not working. Then, with no explaination, it started working again but only for a short (pardon the pun) time. I obviously have a short somewhere and I assume it is a result of the paint shop removing the lamps when the painted the car.
My next guess would be to replace the turn socket/wires from the quick connector forward and see if that doesn't solve the short. If it doesn't...if my short is somewhere from the connector back, can that be easily found & repaird or am I looking at a dealership type repair?
