Engine light is on. Engine runs great. Starts quickly and makes no unusual sounds. Runs smoothly at all speeds.

whether hot or cold.A rumbling noise occurs periodically. At 25 to 50 mph. Rpm's jump back and forth between 500 and 2000 RPM's. Feels like the car has come out of gear. I don't know what's happening. Engine runs great and transmission shifts smoothly and normally much of the time.

Might it be a computer problem? If you inadvertantly kick the area near the right foot passenger side. The car may die on you or do strange things.

What do you think?

Jump the two termnals shown together and turn key to "ON" and count the flashes... a 22 will flash as 2 flashes then a short pause, then 2 flashes, if more than one code is stored, the pause will be longer. The codes will display three times and end with 11 or 111. Write them down and post here. First do this with the key on engine off, then again with it running.
