Replacing calipers

I have a 1999 Ford Taurus SE with 95,000 miles. I went to replace the rear brakes & rotors and I cannot seem to push in the caliper piston. I broke 2 "c" clamps trying to do this. How do I change the caliper.

open the bleeder ion the back of the caliper and then try your caliper is no good it has been extended to far thats why your having problems getting it off make sure the parking brake is off to
