Oil coming out oil filler cap

My daughter owns a 1999 Ford Taurus with a 3.0 V6 engine. My son in law had to replace the head gaskets and while he was in there, he replaced all the gaskets with new ones. He also removed the oil pump to clean it and primed it before re-installing. Now the engine is spitting out quite a bit of oil through the oil filler cap like it has way too much pressure. The PCV valve has been replaced as well. The car has about 110,000 miles on it.

Thanks,
Craig

What you gotta do is a pressure test of the oil pump. He may have damaged or blocked the pressure relief valve. Anything odd looking with the oil filter? Bulging a bit?

I'm curious how much pressure is built up in the crankcase. If oil is being forced out the filler cap, it is unusual. The filler cap should be sealed and the top of the engine should be at engine vacuum thru the PCV. You may have a blowby situation which is causing the oil to be forced out the cap. Maybe more than a headgasket was needed to fix the job.
