2004 Ford Taurus with DOHC, approx 93K miles. A/C, Automatic Temperature Control, etc.
Symptom started early Spring 2007. I drive mostly highway back and forth to work.
The heat is lacking.
Noticed first that the heat to the windshield and floor is warm, the heat from the ducts in front not much better.
If I use the Defrost, this is not warm either.
However, when I put the Defrost on and set it to 90˚, the blower blowers on high. If I use the regular windshield and floor, with temperature set on 90˚, it normally waits until the temperature of the car comes up then will start, but the blower does not blow as high as with the Defrost on.
The antifreeze level is good. The heater hoses to and from the heater core are hot.
Do you have any suggestions to figure this out; it’s been doing this for about 4 months?
