Ford* Tarus* 1995* 131000* 3.0 * 6 cyl. i just had 2 brake lines repaired by a tire & brake place he said he was going to put a union with a inverted flare on at the 2 repair places.but when i got the car home it looks like a regular compression fitting & all the reading online about brake repairs is not to use & won't pass inspection.when i called him because one of the lines was about 2"below chassis of car he said he would fix it so i asked him one more thing i told him i would like to see the fitting he used & he said it was special order so i asked him for company name& he told me if he could call me right back.when he called me back he said he would change the fittings he put in car with a union with a inverted flare. so i guess it is just a regular compression fitting.why do people lie about something like this thanks pepperone

People lie for different reasons, to cover for poor quality is one. After they make good on their faulty repair, it's time to find a reputable shop.
