Hello I have a 1999 Taurus Se wagon 3.0L with roughly 115k miles. The car kept blowing a 30 amp mini fuse yesterday whenever the power windows, a/c, or radio were turned on. I took the car in to get it checked and the fuse was replaced and a new battery was installed the problem appeared to be fixed however about 3 hours after this the problem happened again without anything being used windows were up radio was off a/c off, and lights off, I was just idling at a stop light then it happened. The air bag light went flashing, the abs light came on, battery light was blinking, oil light was blinking, then my window wipers turned on without being on then the car shut off. I opened the hood saw the same exact fuse to be blown replaced it so I could get home.
I have no clue as to what connects to this fuse that would cause it to blow what would be a good way to check this and correct this problem short of going into a full service garage?
thank you
