I have a 2000 Ford Taurus with the check engine light on. I was wondering how to read the trouble code useing the "jumper method". In other words without a code scanner. I can also rig up a 12 volt test light if that's needed ( or possibly I can read MIL flashes? ). I understand I may be looking for a DTC connector plug in the engine compartment. If you could give me an idea of where this specificly might be located as well the procedure steps I'd greatly appreciate it.
Also any simple diagram for jumpers and connections you could include would be great. Thank You! - Dan
