I have a 1999 Ranger with 160000 miles and about a month ago a loud squeak began in the rear. It only happens between 10 -20 mph. And after being under the truck while it idled, it sounded as if it was coming from the center of the driveshaft. Any ideas?

Take a look at the u-joints and look closely around the cups for any signs of a rusty colored dust coming from them. U-joint needle bearings may be shot.
