When I drive my ranger and the rpm's hit around 3000 the battery light comes on and I start to lose battery power, but once the rpm's go down the battery power starts to go back. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Does the volt gauge go all the way up if it does your alternator is overcharging.

Hello,
I have the same truck with the same exact problem. Under acceleration, at about 3,500 rpm's the battery light comes on, I lose power and the lights dim. Under all other drivind situations the truck drives normally. It never fails to start.
I also am interested in a solution. Thanks
