2005 Ford Ranger squeiling

I have a squeiling noise and it its worse than last week. I brought it to the shop and they said it was my altinator and there was dirt in it, well I tried to clean it and did little to no effect. Could you tell me what it could be or do I have to go pay more money to have somebody look at it again?

Is the altinator squeeling or the belt. With the belt you can get some belt dressing and use a little to quiet it down, if it is the altinator then usually it is the bearings that squeel try some belt dressing and see what happens. Check the tension on the belt itsel.
