I just got a new seco clutch kit put in and new slave cylender in my 1993 ford ranger 4.0 5 speed I was wondering if the clutch would feel tight or would it be kinda mushy feeling? When I took it in the shop it wasnt goin into gear that good but would still go into gears without grindin but u hadda kinda push it in gear. Then when I got the truck out today and drove it home when I pressed down on the clutch and it felt the same as id did when I took it down there to get fixed but it does go in to gear a little easier but I dont kno if im just tripping thinkin they didnt fix it or what lol can u help me out a little bit. Because I kno on my mustang when I got the clutch changed out it felt reallly tight but that was atta different shop.

Does the clutch seem to grab sooner than it did with the old one? Also, the problem with the old one not allowing it to shift easy was most likely the pressure plate. When they get weak, the don't fully disengage the trans from the engine.

Let me know.
