can't get rear drum off to change brakes

got the drum loose but won't come all the way off

A lot of times the drums are loose, but they won't come off because they are hung up on the shoes due to a rust ridge that builds up on the outer edge of the drum.

So, the best thing is to loosen them as much as possible but if you still can get it off, then you may need to pry them off to break that ridge.

Also, we need to make sure you have removed the nut and bearings under the dust cap.
