Air Conditioning

[color=darkblue][/color On my way home from work the other day the blower on my air conditioner shut down, the fan sounds like something is stuck in it but my husband can't figure how to get to the fan and see if that is so. Any info. will be appriciated, please it's over 100 degrees here :!: Thanks :wink: [/b]

Sorry, its a 1998 Taurus with a 6 cylinder engine

Pretty much buried under the right side of the dash. The removal instructions are as follows.

Disengage instrument panel insulator from instrument panel reinforcement and remove from instrument panel.
Disconnect blower electrical connector.

Unsnap instrument panel upper finish panel from instrument panel.

On autolamp-equipped vehicles, disconnect electrical connector from light sensor amplifier.

Unsnap and remove instrument panel finish end panel from RH side of instrument panel.
Remove three screws retaining instrument panel to upper cowl top panel.
Remove two screws at RH side of instrument panel.
Remove three blower motor mounting plate screws.
Pull instrument panel away from cowl and remove blower motor from A/C evaporator housing.
