1993 Ford Mustang Door Handle Rivet Fix

my door handle on drivers side has broke off, and luckily i was left with a small piece of it that i am able to open the door with. I have new door handles, but they are installed with rivets. Is there any way i can install them without rivets? And how in the world am i supposed to get to it?

best left with the rivets to protect from B&E or theft.handle is accessible by removing inner door panel and drilling rivets out
