1998 Ford Mustang oil pressure

the oil gaudge recently started to drop to the red line and goes right back to normal when I stop and its only sometimes. Any suggestions?

Could be faulty oil pressure unit sending false readings, need to check with mechanical oil pressure gauge. If pressure really is dropping than check for dirty filter, oil and make sure oil pick up tube is not damaged.
