I own a mustang cobra. The car has been sitting in my garage since with alittle less then a quarter tank of gas since june of 07. In october of 07 I decided to start the vehicle it would start and run for about 3 seconds then die I knew that it had to be a fuel issue because the battery was brand new and I had hooked up to my battery charger before I tried to start it, so I went to my local car shop and explained the problem and they told me that there was water in the gas, so I picked up some gas anti freeze. I put that in the tank and started the car a couple of minutes later. It fired right up and ran like a charm I drove it around the block then parked in the garage again. Just yeaterday I tried to start it again, for the first time since october, same exact problem. I went and picked up some more gas antifreeze mixed it with a gallon of high octane gas and put it in the tank. Still would not start. I live in columbus Ohio its very cold right now. I thought maybe if I warmed up the garage with my kerosene heater that that would help, it didnt, Im stumped. Keep in mind that this car is pampered only 58000 miles, its a DOHC 4.6 liter, very clean engine. Everything is stock except for the whole exhaust system headers to tips no cats. The fuel filter is fairly new also. I dont knoe what else to do. Please help!

First of all stop putting stuff in your tank. In my opinion when someone tells you to put something in your tank to fiz a problem, usually means they do not know what is wrong. When car starts and stalls, check to see if your theft light on dash stays on or flashes or goes out. If there is a theft problem it will allow your car to start but then immediately shut off fuel injectors if it thinks someone is trying to steal it(does not recognize the key input). I stumbled on this, and it worked. Car would start and run for 2 seconds. I had damaged the key, so I tried the spare. Ran like a charm!

Thanks!
