My steering wheel on my 02 Focus has locked?

Sorry for the really lame question, but for the first time in the 3 years I have owned it, my steering wheel on my 02 Focus has locked and I can't unlock it and get the key to turn! Is there a trick I don't know about? How do I unlock it?

trapped and incredibly frustrating!

Try putting the key in, and turning the key while turning the wheel back and forth. The engine can stop causing he hydraulic potion of the system to stops which causes the problem you have. Please let us know.
