Electrical problem
2003 Ford Focus 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 104,00 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My son had to jump start my car and put the cable on the wrong post. Didn't realize it and went to start and there was sparks and the jump cable attachment melted. Put a new battery in it. Everything works except that the car won't start, no sounds at all. Can you give me an idea of what can be wrong? (starter, celanoid, etc)

Check and test all the fusible links and also do this check for power at the starter relay at terminal S not there backtrack it to the transmission range switch/NSS and ignition switch. Inspect all your fuses too.
