My 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 has 130,000 miles and has the 2.0L ZTEC engine. It stalls when the brake is applied. The wipers & power windows don't work, but everything else electrical seems okay. I've checked all of the fuses & the obvious relays and they are all okay. There are two brake switches on the pedal and the upper one (green) that controls the lights is the switch that causes this problem. This occured when the battery needed to be replaced.

There are a few recalls, go to your local Ford dealership they have to fix all the issues completely free of charge. Read other questions on the forum for details.
