2001 Ford Focus Engine shakes

2001 Ford Focus Manual 65K miles

Hello,

Can you advise what can cause engine warning light to stay on and the engine is shaking very much on idle or when driving on any gear, but it shakes more on lower gears.
I just would like to know if is it something serious/expensive?

HI eng shake is caused by a cylinder misfire,
first the cyl has to be idenified
next the cause has to be determined
this could be something as small as a spark plug or a coil an injector to a maj internal eng prob without diagnosing the prob hard to say.
