I have a 2000 ford focus ZTS that has run 75k miles. Off late I have noticed that there is loud acceleration noise when I bring the car to a halt and apply the Parking (P) gear. I had the 75k service done a few months back that included engine tune up and brake replacement.

The problem could be several different things. But the first couple things I would look at either the Idle Air Control Valve, or possibly a vacuum leak. The easiest way that I know of to check for a vacuum hose leaking is to turn the engine on and run your hands over the hoses and feel for one of them sucking on you (Just be careful of the belt and fan so as not to get hurt by them). Hope this helps, and good luck.
