2003 Ford Fiesta Front Wheel Drive Manual

I have a 3 door Fiesta and both front seat clips that release the seat down so people can get in the back have broken. (The cable has pulled out of the bracket). I have had a price for the parts, which is fine, but Ford want £300 labour which I can not afford. Is this a job I would be able to do myself as I need to take the seats out and strip then down and am worried about the airbag sensors.

Disconnect the battery 5 minutes before commencing any work this will disable the airbag system. As long as you don't damage the wiring near the seat belt clips you should have no problem with the airbag system ! Also remember you will need your radio code if you disconnect the battery. I do not have any diagrams as the fiesta was not released in the USA. But your local library should be able to supply a manual. Hope this helps let me know
