Hi,

When I drove my car in up hill road at rpm around 2500, suddenly there was a loud sound from the engine (I guess). I'm not sure whether it is back fire or not, before I heard the sound, the engine power little bit decrease. After that, the engine still running and still fine. My car use LPG. What do you think should I do to check my car?

Thank you.

Hi there,

I feel what you have is induction back fire due to faulty ignition leads, when the leads start to break down they leak voltage and can cause a cross fire, the leads on these fords are bundled and if you remove them you will see a white powder like appearance on the leads, this is evidence of cross firing, I would change the ignition leads first.
