In the morning when I turn on the ac it will work shortly then cut off, I shut the switch off for a short while it begins working again for a while and I repeat the process untill it gets real hot outside then it will continue to work untill I slow down or start stopping and starting at lights then it does not quit pumping but just does not blow as cold. If I run thru a rain storm it will quit completly. At idle it will only blow cool. I have replaced the dryer and orifice tube.

Does the blower motor stop running? Or the a/c compressor shut off and blower keeps running? Does it have manual or auto temp control?

Check the high and low side readings with a manifold gauge set, low should run at 30-40 and high 150-250 from 70- 95 degrees, if it is low on r134, the low pressure cutoff is turning the compressor off, time how long the compressor runs between cylcing on and off and record the outside temp.

I put a guage on low side and it is 35 to 40. I changed the low pressure switch and it worked for a while, I then noticed when the pump cut off I could tap the clutch plate with my finger and it would start again, so I replaced the clutch and it seems to work so far.
