Engine Mechanical problem
1989 Ford F350 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 109xxx miles

I have an 89'F350 with a 460 in it, in the morning or after it has sat for a while it starts right up, no problems. However, after I have been driving it for a while and shut it down, restarting is an issue, it seems that the battery will not turn over the enginge, sometimes it will start others it just seems that the battery is dead, however wait an hour or so, it fires right up starter? Battery? All the above?

Hi cwagoner,

If it is battery, you would not be able to crank in the morning.

Either starter, ignition switch or wiring.

Test starter by applying battery current to it, if it cranks then it is not the cause.

Check relay and ignition switch.
