Vehicle has 2 fuel tanks, and 1 guage, also has a swithch to change tanks. The pickup will switch tanks from front to rear, and runs fine. The problem is the gauge shows empty on both tanks.
what is the recommended repair, to make the gauge show how much fuel is in each tank?

Sounds to me like your in tank sending units are bad. Disconnect a harness for the pump and turn the key to on, turn the key on, does the tank show full? How bout when its grounded out to the chassis?
