Transmission problem
1987 Ford F250 V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual

I own a Ford f-250 4x4 with a 4 speed Manual transmission. We have been told that the adapter housing(the part between the transmission and the transfer case) is cracked. We have called every auto parts store, salvage yard, and Ford dealers that we can for this specific part to no avail. I was wondering if it would be possible for us to have the crack welded shut. Or is there somewhere we can go to find a replacement part.

I have the same Issue with my F250 6.9 4x4 4 spd manuel with a 1345f transfer case. Try www.drivetrain.com/parts. Get the Case casting # for your adaptor, trans and transfer case. If the adapter is Alluminum you can try to spot weld, cast Iron replace
What trans do you have?
