Ford F-150 gas gauge

It is a 1988 Ford F150, 155,000 miles, inline v6 engine. The gas gauge does not work. It does not move from a position roughly in the center of the gauge. It simply doesn't move and apparently hasn't for a long time. I really need the gauge to work. Can someone please help me?

It is possable it is the gauge but Ford has had problems with the sending unit in the tank. The floats have a problem sticking and not reading right or not reading at all that might be the problem.

Make sure that you check all your fuses. Also check the fuses in the power distribution box under the hood.
