I have bought a set of wheels from a 2003 F-150 and installed them on my 1998 F-150. The studs and nuts are larger on the 2003. As a result the center caps from the 2003 will not fit as the nuts are too small. What are my options to install the center caps? Change out the studs? Change the clips in the center caps? I want to get it done with as little expense as possible.

Actually, you can't change out the stud for a larger size because the hub assembly won't take them. We always recommend staying with a direct fit part because things like this always happen. (It sounds like you have the same type of luck I do) The only suggestion I can think of is to check at a parts store for lug nuts that are larger in size but will still fit your studs. They make them in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but if I told you something else, I would be lying.

Let me know if you have other questions.
