I just put a new clutch kit, slave cylinder and flywheell on my truck and now 5 days later when I put it in gear nothing happenes. It did happen when I was driving I was shifting from 1st to 2nd when I heard a clunk then nothing happened when I tried to put it in gear nothing happened I was able to cost to a parking lot and call a tow trk. What is wrong with my truck could it be the transfer case?

See my profile. Imma Jeep Guy, and I do not know your rig.

I have put maybe 3 dozen clutches, transmissions and transfer cases in CJs. About to rebuild my '77 tranny, as soon as I can locate a FULL kit (all but the case). Reasonable, on the internet.

Your descriptions are sorta NOT technical.I will interrogate you for more!

5 days of Driving. Before a problem?

Nothing happened. No clutch pressure. Shifter will not select a gear. Grinding?

Can you see the slave in action? Or can you remove a cover or something to see the pressure plate move? (Remember I do not know your rig)

Did you install the clutch yourself?

Did you separate the tranny and transfer case?

Is your transfer case knocked into a neutral position?

Is it possible that your clutch arm came loose from the slave?

Respond that it was something dumb. And you are driving now!

Idid not do the clucth myself a friend who works at a ford dealship did it for me at the dealership after hours. I did see the slave pushing against the pressure plate with help of someone pushing the pedal while I looked threw the inspection hole in the bell housing. It is all hydralic with an full internal slave on the input shaft of the tranny. I do no know if the tranny was seperated from transfer case. I was not there when the job was done. I am hoping that the tcase was knocked into neutral cause I found a broken bolt that was sheared off the 4wd shifter so I am hoping fixing that bolt and reattching the shifter and going through the gears will do the trick.

Sounds like the place to start.

On occassion I have come out of a store and found that "WILLY" would not go.

After a little "FREAKING OUT", I find that some CURIOUS ON-LOOKER, did not get taught,

"IF IT'S NOT YOURS, DON'T TOUCH IT!........As we tell our Grandson!

So I play with the "Little Sticks" till I am in the correct mode, then "putter off"!

The Medic

Are the "2 Little Sticks", beside the Gearshift, Calling your name, in "WILLY"?

I am hoping that the sound I heard was the bolt shearing of and fell into neutral. But I did play with it alittle and I think I got it in 4wd and it still didn't go but I was by myself and was in a mcds parking lot and was scarmbling to get it to do something. Won't know till tomorrow after work I get to take the semitrk to work tomorrow. U don't drive in public with that gun up there do ya cause it gives a new name to road rage. Or go ahead and cut me off I dare ya. That would be cool if u do

On my CJ 5. One stick in the Cockpit moves 2 rods on the tranfer case (just as "WILLY's 2 sticks move the 2 rods below individually)

The difference is as the CJ 5's (MR. JEEP) One stick moves. The 2 rods have poppet balls (only lets one move at a time, in sequence. Theres sorta a "TEE" where the 3 parts meet. If a pin were to fall out of a rod (where it links to the "TEE") only one rod would move. Either "IN---NEUTRAL---OUT 4X4"or "4 HIGH, 2 HIGH, or 4 LOW". One of the operations would not work!

Here in S.C, handguns must be "Under Lock or Latch" and can be chambered.

Long guns unloaded completely---magazine out---can be anywhere in your rig

MR. AR (My Weapon) does draw attention (Loaded on this shooting range trip).I cannot leave him unattended in town. Sometimes I take him apart and lock him beneath my rear storage seat before I get near my commercial destination. He does not go for rides all of the time!

Remember: This is my WEAPON and this is my GUN, This ones for killing and this ones for FUN!

Give me some good news!

Then give me some "FEEDBACK"
