1997 Ford F-150 muffler and or catalytic converter

I've noticed a loss in power, whining noise when you accelerate, then quits at higher speed, then when accelerating again at higher speed, notice whining noise again.

Well this is kinda tough but I will try to give what I can to help.

So, did this occur after doing some service or did it just happen all of a sudden?

Did the noise start off just as loud as it is now or have you noticed it getting worse over time?

The noise goes away at a higher speed, but will return under acceleration. Is there a chance it could be just under acceleration?
